What is Plain Search for?

The problem

Gmail can search very precisely: by sender, by date, by attachment, by size. But only if you know an operator syntax (from:, older_than:, has:attachment...) that almost nobody has learned.

What Plain Search does

• You describe what you're looking for in your own words.
• The tool writes the exact Gmail query and shows what each piece of syntax does.
• You open it in Gmail in one click. Plain Search never connects to your mailbox and never reads any of your emails.

The library and the proof

The operator library explains each one: what it does, what it does well, what it does badly. Every limit shows where it comes from: "Documented by Google" (with a link to the official page), or "Not documented by Google" when the help page is silent on the subject.

A claim that comes from no official source is not shown until it has been checked in a real Gmail.

What Plain Search is not

• A Google service: Gmail is a trademark of Google LLC, and Plain Search is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by Google.
• A tool that accesses your mailbox: it has neither the access nor the need.
• A guarantee: the query is generated by a language model, so check it in Gmail before acting on your messages.
